India vs England Test Series: KL Rahul made his return to the nets as he gears up to be in action in the ongoing Test series between India and England.

Rahul was seen doing batting practice on Sunday morning as he posted a video on his social media, playing a beautiful drive to remind everyone of his promising touch.

Rahul made his return to the side after missing out on the second Test due to injury as BCCI announced the squad for the rest of the three matches on Saturday.

However, the inclusion of Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja in the playing 11 would be subject to fitness.

Notably, both the players were part of the series opener in Hyderabad which India lost by 28 runs to go 0-1 down.

They missed out on the Vizag Test that India won by 106 runs to equal the five-match series by 1-1.

"The participation of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team," read the statement.

Rahul's confident practice glimpse has only boosted the hopes of the star batter returning to action in the third Test.

India need the experience of KL Rahul in the middle in the absence of Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer for the remainder of the series.

Rahul, who scored 86 and 22 in the first Test, complained of pain in his right quadriceps after the match but would be keen to regain match fitness to capitalise on the remaining three matches as well.

The star batter has been going through a lot of injury issues in his career lately as he had sustained a hamstring injury during the IPL 2023.

He had to undergo surgery in his right thigh in May last year and missed a lot of action before making a comeback in the Asia Cup.

He also made a magnificent return to the Test format for India as he smashed a crucial hundred in the first Test on the South Africa tour.

The third Test between India and England is scheduled to be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot and will commence on Thursday, February 15.
