India vs England ODI: It was yet another clinical performance from the Rohit Sharma-led Team India as they routed a mismatched English side by a gigantic 142 runs at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Notably, it was a 3-0 whitewash which only proved how well Men-in-Blue outplayed England Lions in every department.
Interestingly, it was the 2nd biggest win by run margins for India against England in ODI format.

In the first innings, it was India's vice-captain Shubman Gill who stamped his authority with a 112 off just 102 balls followed by Shreyas Iyer's 78 and Virat Kohli's 52 which helped impose 356 in 50 overs. In response, England's batting continued to poor throughout the series as they could manage 214 in 34.2 overs.
Gill's 112 off 102 balls led India to an imposing 356, and England could only manage 214 in 34.2 overs. Batter Tom Banton and bowling all-rounder Gus Atkinson top scored with 38 each with no substantial support from star batters like Harry Brook, captain Jos Buttler and Joe Root.
The only silver lining in the match remained Adil Rashid, who picked up 4 wickets by giving 64 runs in 10 overs. Other than Rashid, it was Mark Wood who bowled some absolute 'rockets' to finish his spell with 9 overs and 2 wickets.
Kohli, who was short on runs before the match was left stranded 37 runs short of becoming only the third batter ever to make 14,000 ODI runs, missing a personal landmark like his teammate Rohit Sharma earlier in the innings.
Coming off a terrific century in second ODI, Rohit (1) could not even get a start as a delivery from Wood which was angled in, straightened enough to take the outside edge and Phil Salt collected a sharp catch.
For India, pacers Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya were main wicket-takers as they picked up two wickets each to finish England's innings quickly.
