India vs England 2nd Test: Shubman Gill, who is in terrific form with the bat, scripted his name in the history books by becoming the second Indian skipper to score 150 runs in a Test on English soil. 

During the second Test against England on Day 2 at Edgbaston, Gill achieved the milestone in the first innings by taking a single on the 263rd ball.

Former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin was the first skipper to score more than 150 runs in an innings in a Test match on English soil. He accomplished the feat during the 1990 India-England Test at Old Trafford in Manchester, where he slammed 179 runs from 243 balls as a No. 5 batter.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli holds the third spot in the list with his knock of 149 on English soil. Kohli played a blistering knock of 149 runs from 225 balls for India's first innings during the 2018 Birmingham Test.

Talking about the ongoing match, Gill struck 150 for the first time in his career while star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja made a solid 89, pushing India to 419 for six at lunch on day two. Resuming the day from 310 for five, India added 109 runs to the total in 25 overs.
