IND vs IND-A Intra squad match 2025: The BCCI took to their official X account and posted some important pictures from Day 1 of the intra-squad match, which was being held in Leeds, ahead of the five-match Test series against England, which would be held later this month. In that video, star pacer Prasidh Krishna was seen explaining how the day turned out to be as India's new Test skipper Shubman Gill was seen giving his first motivational speech during a team huddle.

“Let’s maintain our intensity, especially when we are fielding, let’s focus on the areas that we want to focus on as a team, as a bowling unit, and as a batting unit," Gill was heard saying in that video.

In that video, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal are also seen opening the innings together and that might have been a huge hint ahead of the series opener since the Men in Blue's top order hasn't been made official yet. Ever since Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from the longest format, there have been a lot of names that have come up to be his replacements but KL Rahul is considered as the frontrunner. The BCCI had reckoned that both KL Rahul and Shubman Gill had smashed have smashed half-centuries each.

In another incident, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was seen smashing huge shots at Washington Sundar with Dhruv Jurel being the wicket-keeper.

“It’s really important for all of us to get this game time because some of them are coming from the A game. Getting some time in one field is important. That’s what’s going about today as well. And looks like a nice hard pitch. Bowlers have been in the game throughout, bowling some really good spells, and batsmen have shown some character. It’s always good when you’re competing against each other as well. So yeah, all of us are excited and enjoying what’s happening," Prasidh Krishna was heard saying in the video.

“It’s fun to have some fun people around, and you can’t be focused for a long time, especially when you’re sitting outside. So you make sure you have your bit of fun and when you can sense situations, you make sure you support your team by making sure you’re being switched on because anything can happen in the industry of cricket in itself. But yeah, I think all of us are experienced enough to know when," he concluded.

The ongoing intra-squad match is being held behind closed doors.
