India bowler Jasprit Bumrah is all set to create history and join the likes of Virender Sehwag, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and others as he will be leading the side in the three T20Is against Ireland.
He will become only the 11th player to captain the Indian team in the T20 internationals and will join the elite list of former Indian skippers in the shortest format.
Bumrah will achieve the feat in the upcoming first T20I against Ireland, set to take place on August 18 at The Village.

The 29-year-old will be leading the young Indian side as the senior players have been given rest in order to prepare for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023.
Bumrah is also set to make his return to international cricket after a long break.
The series will be marking the return of Bumrah after a prolonged injury as he was out of action since September 2022 and missed out on a lot of important matches, series, and tournaments across formats including the Border Gavaskar Trophy, T20 World Cup, and World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia.
Bumrah recently underwent surgery and has been working hard at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru ever since.
Ahead of the upcoming series, he also took part in a practice game, after which he was deemed fit to play and also was appointed the captain for the Ireland series.
