India vs New Zealand Test Series: On the key fifth day of the first Test, New Zealand scripted history on Indian soil, securing their first Test victory in 36 years with an emphatic eight-wicket triumph over India in Bengaluru. Tom Latham's side dominated the hosts across all aspects of the game.

The tone was set when the Blackcaps skittled India out for a paltry 46 in the first innings, paving the way for a landmark win that echoed their last success in India back in 1988.

The New Zealand pace attack, led by Matt Henry and Will O'Rourke, unleashed a furious assault on India's batters, claiming significant scalps on the second day.

Henry's five-wicket haul (5/15) and O'Rourke's four-wicket burst (4/22) sent India crashing to 46 all out in their first innings.

The visitors seized power with a rich 402 in their first innings, only to see India mount a spirited fightback with 462 in their second essay.

However, the Kiwis were left requiring just 107 for victory on the final day. Despite Jasprit Bumrah's dreadful spell, New Zealand's batters held their nerve, securing an eight-wicket win and a 1-0 series advantage.
