IND vs PAK, Asia Cup 2025: Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav maintained the boycott of the Pakistan cricket team as he refrained from a pre-match trophy photoshoot, Salman Agha standing 'awkwardly' on one side of the trophy ahead of the title clash between the two sides. As per a report by news agency PTI, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) didn't inform the BCCI about the photo shoot.
Notably, the 2024 T20 World Cup in the Windies also saw no photoshoots involving the captains of India and South African skippers Rohit Sharma and Aiden Markram.
The photos of the shoot involving Salman Agha went viral as they appeared on social media. Here’s one of them:

Agha, who turned up for the photoshoot, was asked about this in the pre-match press conference. To which Agha said that his team will follow protocol.
“They can do whatever they want; we will just follow the protocol," Agha said. The rest is up to them. If they want to come, they come, and if they don’t, we can’t do anything…. We don’t focus on what we can’t control. Media talk, outside noise; we ignore it. Our goal is the Asia Cup. We came here to play good cricket, and tomorrow we’ll aim to win the final," he added.
