India and Pakistan are all set to face off in the Super Four stage of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, September 10.
It will be the second time when both teams will be up against each other in this year's continental tournament, having already met in the group stage.
The last encounter between the arch-rivals was abandoned due to persistent rain in Pallekele on September 2.
Just like their previous encounter, it is highly likely that rain will play spoilsport even in today's IND vs PAK match in the capital city.
In case the match gets abandoned due to rain today, there is a reserve day in place and the match will continue on Monday (September 11) from where it left off.
Weather Report
As per Weather.com, there are 90% chance of rain in Colombo on Sunday with 49% chance of rain at 2 PM IST which will increase to 66% at around 3 PM IST, which is the scheduled start time for India vs Pakistan Super Fours game.
It is highly likely that today's match between India and Pakistan will be affected by rain just like their previous match in the group stage with the rain prediction throughout the Ind vs Pak match on Sunday ranging from 49 to 69%.
The match will be taking place at the same venue where Saturday's match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh was played. There were clouds roaming all over but the match didn't witness any rain.
Rohit Sharma-led side made it to the Super Fours after a dominant 10-wicket victory over Nepal while Pakistan remain unbeaten in the tournament and will look to continue the same in today's match.
The last match in Pallekele was called off after the first innings where India managed to score 266 runs before getting bowled out in 48.5 overs.
