The highly anticipated cricket match between India and Pakistan, scheduled for October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, might be affected by rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light showers in the city and north Gujarat during that period.

With the World Cup contest and the Navratri festival closely aligned, fans and organizers will be closely monitoring the weather conditions. According to the latest weather update from the IMD, there's a possibility of isolated light rains in north Gujarat districts and Ahmedabad on October 14 and 15. Rainfall during the match could potentially disrupt or impact the game, leading to strategies and preparations by both teams and authorities to mitigate any such challenges.

“While the weather is expected to remain dry during the next five days in Gujarat, light showers may occur at isolated places in Ahmedabad district on October 14.

“The atmosphere will remain cloudy. The next day, light rains may occur in Ahmedabad and other northern districts, such as Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Arvalli,” said Manorama Mohanty, director of Meteorological Centre in Ahmedabad.

Recently, the two teams faced off in the Asia Cup, playing two matches that have added to the anticipation of their future encounters.

The first match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup ended in a washout, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the next clash. In the second match, India handed a thrashing to Babar Azam's Pakistani side, asserting their dominance on the field.

As both teams gear up for future meetings, Pakistan will be determined to seek revenge for their recent loss to India. They aim to defeat India on Indian soil, a challenging task that requires their best efforts.

On the other hand, India is focused on maintaining their winning momentum, not only in the Asia Cup but also in the upcoming World Cup. It's important to note that India has never lost an ODI World Cup match to Pakistan. They currently hold a perfect 7-0 lead over Pakistan in World Cup encounters.
