The banter between cricket teammates off the field have become an essential part of the modern cricketing culture, offering fans a delightful glimpse into the personal relationships that extend beyond the boundary ropes.

In a recent off-field incident, Indian cricketer Shubman Gill took to social media to playfully call out his good friend and teammate Ishan Kishan for allegedly stealing his shirt. The revelation came when Kishan shared a photo of himself holidaying at an undisclosed location, sporting a blue shirt with large checks.

However, Gill claimed that the shirt belonged to him and demanded it back by leaving a playful comment on the Instagram post.

He wrote, ‘Bhai shirt toh wapis de deta (Brother, please return my shirt).”

Notably, Kishan is yet to react to Gill's comment but the fans were quick to catch wind of the banter, and the exchange went viral across social media platforms.

Gill and Kishan have shared a friendship since their early days in domestic cricket, and their bond has only strengthened as they transitioned into international cricket. The duo has been observed exchanging playful conversations and banter even while representing the national team.

For fans, such moments of camaraderie humanize the players, offering a reminder that even elite athletes engage in light-hearted teasing and banter with their teammates. These glimpses into the off-field interactions contribute to the broader appeal of the sport, allowing fans to connect with the players on a more personal level.

While the players enjoyed a brief vacation, their focus quickly shifted back to cricket as the Indian team embarked on a tour to South Africa for an extensive bilateral series. The series comprises three T20s, as many ODIs, and two test matches. Unfortunately, the first T20 match faced a washout due to bad weather, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the upcoming games, including the one scheduled for Tuesday, December 12, with a weather forecast that mirrors the conditions of the previous match.
