India National Cricket Team vs South Africa National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal's stunning maiden ODI century and the brilliant bowling performances of Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna paved the way for India's convincing win over South Africa, sealing the three-match ODI series.

Playing at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, India defeated South Africa by 9 wickets in the thrid and final ODI of the series.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also stamped their authority in ODIs, cementing their positions as India's backbone in the 50-over format. Kohli showcased his elegance at the crease, breezing to a half-century off just 40 balls, marking his 76th ODI fifty. Rohit played a promising innings  of 75 runs.

Chasing 271, India overhauled the target with 10.1 overs and nine wickets to spare.

Rohit scored 75 off 73 balls with seven fours and three sixes, while Kohli finished the formalities with a four to reach 65 not out off 45 balls with six fours and three sixes. Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 116 off 121 balls with 12 fours and two sixes.

Jaiswal was not relaxed initially in his innings but the confident presence of Rohit at the other end was a massive blessing for him.

Rohit, who became the fourth Indian batter to reach 20000 international runs during his knock after Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Kohli, looked set for another hundred. But an ill-timed shot off left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj cut short his stay at the crease. But that didn't discourage Jaiswal, who, accompanied by Kohli, kept India's innings moving.

The 23-year-old earned the coveted three-figure mark in 111 balls with a single off pacer Corbin Bosch and immediately removed his helmet to slip into an enthusiastic celebration — a combination of sprint, jump, roar and punch in the air.

Jaiswal and a typically strong Kohli added 156 runs for the second wicket as India calmly went past the target to beat some frenzy among a nearly 27000-strong crowd.

Earlier, a largely disciplined bowling effort also played its part in maintaining South Africa to a manageable total, an effort led by pacer Prasidh Krishna (4/66) and Kuldeep Yadav (4/41).
