Pacer Mohammed Siraj delivered a sensational performance, claiming a six-wicket haul, as India bowled out South Africa for a mere 55 runs at lunch on the opening day of the second and final Test. Siraj showcased remarkable bowling skills, conceding just 15 runs from his nine overs and leading an outstanding effort against the South African batting lineup.
The pitch, favoring pace bowlers, played to Siraj's strengths as he induced an abject surrender from the South African batsmen. The decision by South African captain Dean Elgar to bat first after winning the toss in his farewell Test turned out to be a challenging one, with the home side facing the brunt of Siraj's exceptional spell.

Kyle Verreynne made 15 and David Bedingham 12 as all the other remaining South African batters were dismissed for single-digit scores.
