Dunith Wellalage has been the pick among all the Sri Lankan bowlers. Rohit Sharma is the latest to depart as he got a delivery which stayed really low and turned as well.

India have made one change from the last match as confirmed by Rohit Sharma at the toss. Axar Patel has been included in the playing 11 as he replaced Shardul Thakur.

"We are going to have a bat. That's the challenge you come across as a sportsman, different challenges thrown at you as a player and as a team. We ensured everyone got into the pool after the game last night. They are fresh as we had five days off before these two games. Last game was good for us, we batted well and then came out to defend the total with some good bowling. But again this is a new day and a fresh game. The pitch looks different, looks a lot drier and there's no grass and hence we bring in Axar for Shardul. It might assist the spinners but we also have three quality pacers."

Rohit Sharma have won the toss and India will be batting first against Sri Lanka in Colombo.

"We are back at the Premadasa. Mostly for me this Asia Cup, whenever rain has not been around, has been attractive and spectacular to watch because of the pace. This is pretty unique. When you look at the bounce in all the venues it is pretty high and have similar kind of bounce, there's no low and slow bounce. The impact of pacers in this Asia Cup is huge as they have picked 70 percent of the wickets. The pitch for today is looking a lot different from the India-Pakistan pitch. No grass on this one."

Indian players can be seen sweating it out on the field at the R Premadasa Stadium. The likes of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and others are seen practicing some shots.

Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the IND vs SL match due to back issues. BCCI has provided an update on his injury.,

Virat Kohli was remarkable with the bat against Pakistan as he scored his 47th ODI century to help his team register a massive win. During his innings, he became the fastest batter to 13,000 ODI runs, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar for the legendary milestone.

"Fantastic performance, right from yesterday. When we started, we knew the wicket was good and we had to adjust with the rain, the two experienced (Kohli an Rahul) guys we knew they'd take time to get their eye in and then we can get going. (On Bumrah) Looked good, he swung it both ways and he's worked really hard for the last 8-10 months. Bumrah is only 27, for him to miss games isn't ideal but the way he bowled showed what he is all about. Looking at how we batted, there were lots of positives with the openers and then Virat and KL. Virat's innings was brilliantly paced. And then KL, to get back from injury and then to know 5 minutes before the toss he's playing, to play that way shows the mindset of the player."

India picked up a massive 228-run win over the arch-rivals Pakistan to register their victory in the super four stage of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul made a humiliating struggle for Pakistani bowlers as they smashed their respective centuries. After posting a mammoth total of 356 runs in their 50 overs, the Men in Blue were clinical with the ball as well. They restricted Pakistan to 128 in 32 overs with Kuldeep Yadav putting in a memorable performance as he took a five-wicket haul to help his team register a win.

There are no more options for 'Reserve Day' in the Asia Cup 2023. If all the remaining Super 4 matches are washed out till Friday, India and Sri Lanka will be playing the Asia Cup 2023 final on Sunday.
