IND vs WI 2nd ODI Highlights: Shai Hope's Fifty Powers West Indies To Six Wicket Win

Keacy Carty struck consecutive fours to take his side over the line in the 37th over. He remains unbeaten on 48* while Shai Hope contributed 63* not out as the hosts win the match by six wickets to level the series 1-1.

The ongoing 50-run partnership for the fifth wicket between Hope and Carty is frustrating India as West Indies are heading to a winning total slowly. Hope is nearing his fifty while Carty is playing at his 23*.

Rain has stopped play at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. India are 113/5 in 24.1 overs. Openers Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill gave a steady start to India but lost momentum in the middle overs. India kept losing wickets at regular intervals as Romario Shepherd picked two scalps while Gudakesh Motie, Jayden Seales and Yannic Cariach took one wicket each.

Hardik Pandya (7) and Sanju Samson (9) on successive balls off Jayden Seales and Yannic Cariah respectively. India are in some trouble here.

"We were looking to bat first. We want to see how much we can score on this pitch which is a bit up and down. Rohit and Virat have been playing constant cricket, so they are resting in this game. They can be fresh for the third ODI. I think when you get someone out for 115, it's a good effort from the bowlers. Our catching was impressive, but we can improve in certain areas. Instead of losing five wickets, we could have lost only two wickets and finished the last game. Sanju Samson and Axar Patel come in for Rohit and Virat."

West Indies have won the toss and opted to bowl first against India in the second ODI. 

Opener Shuban Gill and Suryakumar Yadav will eye to break their struggling streak in the international circuit as India eye a series win in Barbados tonight. Gill has been out of form in the ongoing tour while Suryakumar is yet to click in ODI format.

"Not too many words come to mind. We didn't play the way we needed to, we need to find ways to score on difficult pitches like this. I'm not making excuses but anyone watching cricket can see what is happening here. (On Jayden Seales) He is a quality player, somebody we can invest in and I hope he grows from strength to strength. The Indian bowlers did well on this surface, but we didn't bat well."

It's a do-or-die situation for the hosts in the three-match series having already 1-0 down, they have to be clinical in order to get the better of this strong Indian side. From what we have witnessed so far it looked unlikely for the Shai Hope's side to end up on the winning side until India make a mess out of this game.

"Perfect, the fast bowlers bowled really well with Mukesh, Shardul, and Hardik. Me and Jaddu were brilliant, we hit the right lengths which is what was necessary on this wicket. I'm just focusing on my rhythm, hitting the right lengths and it has been very nice. I thought it will be a seaming paradise, we are happy we got 7 wickets from our side. It was spinning a bit, and there was a bounce as well. It's always good to have competition, we just try to work together. When you have a senior like Chahal, it helps you and he gives a lot of advice as well. We enjoy each other's company."

Kuldeep bowled three overs including two maidens and gave away just six runs to pick four wickets in the first game.

Indian team is once again expected to be making experiments as they did in the first game. Skipper Rohit Sharma justified those experiments as a chance to provide youngsters more game time and give those more opportunities who could be in line for India's preparation ahead of the upcoming ODI World Cup in India.
