IND vs WI 2nd Test Highlights: Rain Forces Wash Out Final Day As India Win Series 1-0

Rohit Sharma's side have clinched the Test series 1-0, having won the first Test in Dominica as the second Test ends in a draw to give yet another Test win to the Indian team.

The play for the day has been called off due to continuous rain in Trinidad.

It's still raining. It stopped for a while and started again.

It has stopped raining in Port of Spain but the clouds are dark and the floodlights are on.

The rain has returned in Trinidad as it looked just a matter of time after groundstaff hinted at that by putting the covers back on the pitch.

More frustrating news from Trinidad. The covers are back on due to a huge cloud coming over. It's a precautionary move as the ground staff expect rain to come.

The rain has stopped! The umpires are on the field for an inspection at Queen's Park Oval.

"Was really special. I knew what the team needed from me. Everyone backed me. Virat backed me and told me go and play your game. Let's hope we will finish the game tomorrow. It was Virat bhai who took the initiative and told me that I should go in. There was a slow left-armer who was bowling. It was a good call for the team. Sometimes you need to take these calls. We had the plan that we will play 10-12 overs after the rain break and score 70-80 runs. We wanted a 370-380 target."

If the second Test ends in a draw, then four points will be shared between both India and West Indies in World Test Championship (WTC).

Hello and welcome to the live coverage of Day 5 of the 2nd Test between India and West Indies here at the Queen's Park Oval at Port of Spain in Trinidad.

So that will be it for the day as India look heading towards the victory which is now eight wickets away. However, Tagnarine Chanderpaul did well to keep things alive for the hosts with a steady partnership with Jermaine Blackwood.

Blackwood calmly defended the Siraj's over who looked on point.

Wicket! And there's another one. It looks like Ashwin has managed to find his rhythm and he looks dangerous at the moment, especially after the back-to-back breakthroughs.

Wicket! Ashwin breaks the partnership as India take the first step towards the win. Brathwaite departs for 28.

Jadeja starts for the first time in the day and starts with a maiden.

Chanderpaul avoided taking any chances and defended the over very well. Maiden from Unadkat.

Mukesh has been keeping things tight for a while now. This was the fourth maiden in the five overs he has bowled so far. Brilliant stuff.

The openers have done well so far with skipper Brathwaite looking to continue from where he left in the first innings. Positive start for the hosts in the chase.

Good follow-up from Siraj after being hit for a run in the very first ball. Both the batters are off the mark now.

India have almost four sessions to bowl West Indies out and complete a whitewash. Rohit Sharma's side declared at 181/2, having scored 63 runs in the last nine overs after the rain break.

Rohit Sharma decided to declare soon after Kishan reached his first Test fifty. India have 365 runs in the bag to defend.

Ishan Kishan smashed Kemar Roach for 16 runs in the over, including two sixes as he reaches his maiden Test half-century. 

Both batters tried to hit multiple boundaries in the over but just managed to get one as they took eight runs off the over.

There's no stopping in runs as they keep coming for India at the moment. Six runs off Gabriel's over.

Early Tea has been taken. The game will resume at 12:15 AM IST. The final session will be worth 3 hours and 15 minutes as we can go on till 18:00 PM local time.

It's raining again and the covers are firmly in place. 

The groundsmen are in action before an inspection takes place from the umpires.

It's getting a little bit frustrating now as we have another break due to rain interruption. India have a heavy lead in the bag of above 300 with the hosts left much behind in the game.

Early lunch has been taken at the Queen's Park Oval after the rain interruption. The first session completely belonged to the Indian team, having bowled West Indies out quickly early in the day before Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal provided a fiery start to the second innings with the visitors heading towards the heavy lead.

We have another rain interruption in this match, the first of the fourth day as Umpires decided to call for the covers watching the rain coming down heavily.

Wicket! This time the fielder makes no mistake as Rohit hits a horrible delivery straight into the hands of the deep fine leg. He departs for 57.

Another good one for India as the openers add 6 more runs to the total. 

It's raining boundaries at Queen's Park Oval at the moment and it looks a tough task for the hosts to stop these two batters. However, Rohit has been dropped twice as he continues to fire with quick runs.

Rohit and Jaiswal have taken charge to add quick runs as they continue to punish the bowlers. The Indian skipper smashes Alzarri for a four and a six to take 10 runs off the over.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is off to a fiery start with a marvelous six and a four to start the 2nd innings as India take 12 off the firs over.

India have a heavy lead of 183 runs going into the second innings as they will be looking to wrap things up as soon as possible. Mukesh Kumar and Mohammed Siraj did well to not waste much time and bowl the hosts out quickly.

Wicket! West Indies are all-out for 255 as it took only 7.4 overs for the Indian bowlers to get the better of the remaining five batters. It's a stunning five-wicket haul for Mohammed Siraj.

Wicket! The ninth wicket goes down as West Indies are on the cusp of getting all-out. Siraj gets his fourth wicket as he dismisses Kemar Roach for 4 runs.

A good over for West Indies as they add seven runs to their total. Mukesh and Siraj have done well to find the early breakthroughs considering the flatness of the pitch and what we witness yesterday when bowlers had to struggle hard for wickets.

Wicket! So it's a batting collapse for the home side as they lose the eighth wicket. Finally, Siraj gets his man, and finds his third wicket. 

Wicket! Another one goes down for West Indies as Holder falls prey to Mohammed Siraj who takes his second wicket of the match.

Wicket! There's the first wicket of the day and the second one for the debutant Mukesh as he finds Athanaze in front who decided to challenge the on-field decision but was given out by the third umpire as well. West Indies are six down now.

The debutant starts the proceedings with the first ball being easily defended by Alick Athanaze.

"To be honest, I enjoyed it more than Dominica. It was about rebuilding. I thought there wasn't as much spin as Dominica. I found that they had proper bowling set for their plans. It was challenging. When you are in rhythm, the rain comes and you have to start all over again. The plan was to get out there and get a good stride out. I am new to the review system. Easy for me to put it behind me. It is about batting long. We enjoy a challenge. Trying to stick to the basics."
