The pair of Gudakesh Motie and Alzarri Joseph is frustrating Indian bowlers at the moment. Both of them have accumulated 47(46) together. Shardul Thakur in the attack.

Kuldeep Yadav finally traps Yannic Cariah in the middle. He has his 2nd wicket as India are just two wickets away from the win. WI 88/8 (23.5)

Hello and welcome to the 2nd innings of the third ODI between Indian and West Indies here at the Brian Lara stadium in Trinidad. West Indies openers Brandon King and Kyle Mayers are in the middle. Mukesh Kumar to bowl the first over. 

Hardik Pandya smashes 70 off 52 balls to power India to 351/5 after 50 overs. No one got the century in the 1st innings, however, the score was achieved which was required. 

Romario Shephard gets his 2nd wicket as Suryakumar Yadav departs before the final flourish. Ravindra Jadeja is the new batter in. IND 310/5 (47)

With less than five overs to go, India have a good chance to reach 350 from here. Suryakumar Yadav and captain Hardik Pandya have built a healthy partnership. Windies, on the other hand, will look to restrict India below 330.

Shubman Gill misses out on a century! Gudakesh Motie picks up an important wicket. India 244/4 (38.4)

Hardik Pandya is looking to play the long game as he has scored just a single boundary in 17 balls he has faced. Shubman Gill, on the other hand, vying for a hundred.

The situation right now is an ideal one for a team playing an ODI match. 200 runs on the board inside 29 overs with two set batters in the middle. India are ruling it here in Trinidad. IND 207/2 (29)

Sanju Samson looks in a different mood today. He is playing with a risk, for sure, but that is paying him dividends as well. Alzarri Joseph walks back into the attack.

Ruturaj Gaikwad's departs cheaply for 8(14). The delivery was bowled on a testing line by Alzarri Joseph as Gaikwad could only manage to nick it to first slip. IND 154/2 (23).

Ishan Kishan has been outfoxed with a brilliant leg-break by Yannic Cariah as he departs for 77(64). Ruturaj Gaikwad walks in at number 3. IND 144/1 (20)

Finally a milestone for Shubman Gill after a long time. He is looking to make the most of this innings trying to emulate his mate Ishan Kishan who is going beserk on the other end. IND 138/0 (18.2)

Another half century for Ishan Kishan. This one came up in just 43 balls. This is excellent batting from the wicket-keeper batter as he already has accumulated 157 runs from 3 innings. IND 102/0 (14)

The assault from Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill has helped India to play at a scoring rate of nearly 8 an over. The pitch has some extra bounce for the bowlers as well. 

Ishan Kishan (30 off 28) and Shubman Gill (20 off 20) have brought up a 50-run unbeaten partnership now. Both are making full use of the powerplay. IND 56/1 (8.1)

After a quick start in the first over, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill are looking to steady the innings more. It will be interesting to see how they approach the innings further in this match.

Kyle Mayers has been a great utility player for Windies. He was able to extract some swing as well giving away just 2 runs in the over. Jayden Seales to continue.

Jayden Seales was a bit off line and got punished heavily by Ishan Kishan. Kyle Mayers to bowl the second over. 

We gonna bowl first and extract as much as we can from the surface. We are playing the same team. Looks a better surface and expect the ball to come on a bit better. It is all about the process and we need to be more consistent with the results as well.

Two changes for us. Ruturaj comes in place of Umran and Unadkat comes in place of Axar. Going to the decider the boys are pumped up and looking forward to the game. Looks good (the surface), I don't think much will change, batting first gives a good opportunity for us to set a good total.

West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first. Captain Shai Hope has decided to field the same playing XI.

With rain predicted in the afternoon, teams will look to bowl first. The pitch is expected to stay intact throughout. On the other hand, India might look to bat first yet again as per the 'formula'.

One can expect the pitch to stay true to it's nature here at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad. The first two matches played at Barbados were played at a pitch which was two-paced.

"This is the series before the Asia Cup and World Cup, where we can experiment, we can try out new combinations. It will give us an idea about the team's balance, strengths and weaknesses," Jadeja told reporters on eve of the series decider.

"Captain and team management know what combination they are going to play. There is no confusion at all. We have already decided what is going to be the combination in the Asia Cup...But it's more about trying out a particular player or batter at a batting position," he added.

With the bigger picture in mind, India will likely to continue with Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav in the final match of the series. Samson got his first chance in the last game while Suryakumar played both ODI matches. With the series at stake, both batters will look to add crucial runs under their name in Trinidad.

A lot will be at the helm for India tonight as they have never lost a series against West Indies since 2006 and this is almost the same team that failed to secure qualification for this year's World Cup in India. If West Indies win this game, it will be a big shock to India's preparation for the Asia Cup and quadrennial event. 

India skipper Rohit Sharma and senior batter Virat Kohli were rested for the second ODI of the series with a motive to give others a chance in the playing 11. The move did not yield any result for the team as both Sanju Samson and Axar Patel failed to find rhythm in the clash. All-rounder Hardik Pandya led the side in the absence of Rohit.
