IND vs ZIM, 1st T20I: After a historic 2024 T20 World Cup victory, a young Indian team has already set its sights on winning a third title and will face Zimbabwe in a five-match T20I series starting Saturday, July 6, in Harare. It should be noted that three positions are up for grabs in the Indian team for the shortest format, as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirements from T20I after lifting the trophy.

The youngsters will aim to make their mark in this series, and fans are eager to see what the future holds for the Indian T20I team. In good news for the Indian fans, Harare is expected to remain dry, with a 0% chance of precipitation according to Accuweather.com. The temperature during the match will range between 24 to 25 degrees Celsius.

All eyes will be on youngsters like Rinku Singh, Ruturaj Gaikwad, skipper Shubman Gill, and Riyan Parag. Abhishek Sharma will also make his international debut in this five-match T20I series. The Shubman Gill-led side has an upper hand against Zimbabwe in T20Is, having won six of the eight matches played between the two teams.

The last time India played a T20I match against Zimbabwe was during the 2022 T20 World Cup, where India defeated Zimbabwe by 71 runs. The Men in Blue will aim to start this series on a high note and will not underestimate Zimbabwe, who have also announced a young squad for this series.
