Shreyas Iyer achieved a unique record before the first T20I against Zimbabwe on Thursday (July 23). After winning the toss in Harare, the India captain became the first Indian skipper to win the toss in eight consecutive T20I matches.
Iyer began his stint as India’s T20I captain against Ireland in Belfast on June 26, 2026. Since then, luck has been on his side at the toss, with the Mumbai batter winning all eight tosses as captain.
