IND-W vs SA-W Final, ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025: South Africa U19 women won the toss and opted to bat first in the final of the ICC Under 19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025 at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, February 2.

India will be looking to maintain their winning run in the tournament and clinch their second successive Under 19 Women's T20 World Cup. They won the title in the tournament's previous edition as well which was played in 2023, beating England in the final.

The Women in Blue made it to the final after putting up yet another dominating performance in the semifinal match against England, beating them by 9 wickets at the same venue.

India are being captained by Niki Prasad whereas Kayla Reyneke is leading the South Africa women's U19 team. This is South Africa's maiden appearance in the final.

India kicked off the tournament with a 9-wicket victory over West Indies in their first match. The Women in Blue then got the better of Malaysia by 10 wickets to make it two out of two.

Their third win of the tournament came on January 23 when they defeated Sri Lanka by 60 runs with Gongadi Trisha and the bowlers putting up impressive performances in the low-scoring contest.

Before beating England in the semis, India had registered monumental victories over Bangladesh and Scotland in the Super Six stage.

Trisha currently is the top run-getter of the tournament with 265 runs to her name in 6 matches at an average of 66.25 whereas Vaishnavi Sharma is the leading wicket-taker. She has taken 15 wickets in 5 games so far.

On the other hand, South Africa made it to the final after defeating Australia in the semi-final. They will be looking to clinch their maiden ICC Women's U19 T20 WC title.
