IND-A vs BAN-A Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 Semifinal: Bangladesh A defeated India A in the Super Over in the first semi-final of the ACC Men's Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 to advance to the final. Bangladesh A will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Batting first, Bangladesh A scored 194 for 6 in 20 overs. Gurjapaneet took two wickets. Harsh Dubey, Suyash Sharma, Ramandeep Singh, and Naman Dhir each took one wicket. In response, India A scored 194 for 7 in 20 overs to level the match. India failed to score a single run in the Super Over, and Bangladesh easily won the match.

Bangladesh made a solid start

India A won the toss and elected to bowl first. Bangladesh made a solid start, scoring 43 runs in 4.2 overs, but Jishan Alam (26) was dismissed by Gurjapneet to give India their first breakthrough. Bangladesh lost their second wicket at 76, when Jawad Abrar was dismissed by Ramandeep.

Abu Haider returned to the pavilion without opening his account. Habibur Rahman Sohan reached his half-century from the other end, scoring 65 runs before being dismissed. Finally, Mehroob played a quickfire 48 off 18 balls to take the team close to 200.

Vaibhav created a storm

Chasing the target, the Indian team got off to a flying start with Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Priyansh Arya. They added 53 runs for the first wicket in 22 balls. Vaibhav Suryavanshi played an aggressive innings of 38 runs in 15 balls with the help of two fours and four sixes. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, batting at a strike rate of 253, thrashed the Bangladeshi bowlers. Priyansh Arya was out after scoring 44 runs. Naman Dheer returned to the pavilion early after scoring 7 runs.

The game turned in the last over

Captain Jitesh Sharma scored 33 runs off 23 balls. Nehal Wadhera (not out) and Ramandeep Singh then combined to take India to the brink of victory. Ramandeep was dismissed for 17. Needing 16 runs off the last over, the match reached a thrilling finish.

 Two runs were scored off the first two balls. Then, Ashutosh Sharma hit a six off the third ball. A catch was dropped off the fourth ball, and a four was also scored. Ashutosh was clean bowled off the fifth ball. India needed four runs off the last ball to win, and Harsh Dubey was at the crease. A mistake by Bangladesh's fielders allowed Harsh and Nehal to run for three runs. This resulted in a tie, and the match went into a super over.

Super Over situation

In the Super Over, Jitesh and Ramandeep came on to bat for India A. Bangladesh A's fast bowler, Ripan, clean bowled Jitesh Sharma on the first ball. Jitesh was caught trying to play a big shot on the second ball. India failed to score a single run. Chasing the one-run target, Bangladesh also lost a wicket on the first ball. Suyash bowled a wide on the second ball, and Bangladesh won the match.
