IND-A vs SA-A: Speculations were rife that star India batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli might be playing for India A to work on their skills before their home ODI series against South Africa, which will be held later this month. But as per the latest reports, the veteran Indian batters won't be playing in the India-A one-day series against South Africa.
According to Cricbuzz, the BCCI will be revealing the India A team soon. The selectors have set the roadmap for this series, but currently, both Rohit and Kohli are a part of these plans. There were rumours that the star batters would be playing these matches to stay fit, but the board was satisfied with their form and their workload in the recent ODI series against Australia.
During the series against Australia, both Rohit and Virat took some time to settle, but they put up brilliant performances. Rohit had a disappointing start to this series but made a brilliant comeback by scoring 73 and 121 runs. Kohli, too, was able to make a comeback in the last match, where he scored 74 runs. The selectors considered this recent form when they chose not to pick them for the India side.

At the same time, the current red-ball series against South Africa A is being held in Bengaluru. The Rishabh Pant-led side had won the series opener last week. The second match will be held on Thursday.
The selectors will be announcing the team for the Test series against South Africa soon. The India A team for the limited-overs series will also be revealed in the same meeting. There won't be any changes in India's Test squad except Rishabh Pant replacing N Jagadeesan.
