India A vs England Lions Unofficial Tests Live: The Men in Blue's much-awaited Test Series Against England is all set to start with a preparatory Test series between India A and England Lions would be held first. The first four-day match of the unofficial two-match Test series would begin at the St. Lawrence Ground on Friday, May 30. Abhimanyu Easwaran would be leading the India A side whereas Somerset star James Rew would be captaining England Lions. Although the hosts would include a lot of youngsters in their team, Chris Woakes would also be back to action after recovering from an ankle injury.

A few players from the India A side would then join the senior Test team for a five-match Test series which would begin next month. Shubman Gill, who recently became India's new Test skipper after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma announced their retirement from the longest format, might give the second unofficial Test match against England Lions a miss.

Shubman Gill's fellow Gujarat Titans teammate Sai Sudharsan also got his maiden team India call-up and might be available for the second Test match. The youngster is currently the Orange Cap holder as he has scored 679 runs after playing in 14 matches of IPL 2025. The selectors were impressed by his performance in the domestic tournament.

Sudharsan also smashed a hundred for India A recently against Australia A at Mackay in November 2024.
