England vs India 5th Test:India defeated England by just 6 runs in the fifth and final Test at the Kennington Oval in London on Monday. The Shubman Gill-led side unleashed a historic effort to draw the five-match Test series 2-2 in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.

It was Mohammed Siraj who stepped up once again and produced a heroic effort. He took a match-winning five-for as England were bowled out for 367 runs while chasing the 374-run target. England needed 35 runs on the thrilling final day with four wickets in hand, but Siraj came up with a couple of quick breakthroughs.

Prasidh Krishna then removed Josh Tongue, and it was all down to the final wicket as the injured Chris Woakes came out to bat, with an aim to win the game for his side. Despite a few ups and downs in just a few minutes, Siraj produced a magnificent delivery to get rid of Gus Atkinson as India got over the line. Siraj ended up taking nine wickets in the match and is also the leading wicket-taker in the series with 23 scalps.

Fans were quick to react and laud 'DSP' Mohammed Siraj and acknowledged Gill's captaincy in the toughest of the moments during the Oval Test.

"Yeah, definitely. I think the way both the teams played in the entire series, every day coming on day four, day five, never really knowing which team is going to win, really shows that both the teams came up with their A-game and very happy to get over the line in this one," Indian captain Shubman Gill said after the win.

In his maiden assignment as India's Test skipper, Gill led from the front and ended up as the leading run-getter with 754 runs to his name at an average of 75.40 on the back of four incredible centuries.
