Team India Lowest Test Inning Score: It was an abomination to say the least for Team India as they recorded their lowest ever total at home during the 1st test against New Zealand at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on Thursday. The bowling attack led by Mark Henry, who grabbed a fifer on a seam-friendly wicket, bowled out India on just 46 runs in 31.2 overs.
William O'Rourke, who is playing his first test in India, took 4 wickets for just 22 runs.
It was India's third-lowest innings tally in the longest format and their lowest at home since making 75 against the West Indies in New Delhi in 1987.

India's lowest Test team total came during the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, where they were bowled out for just 36 runs in the second innings of the first Test in Adelaide. This disastrous collapse marked India's second-ever sub-50 score in Test cricket. Despite this setback, India made a remarkable comeback, ultimately winning the series 2-1 with a historic victory in Brisbane, led by their resilient young players.
India's traveling woes in Test cricket have been notable in the past, with their next five lowest Test scores all occurring in overseas conditions between 1948 and 1996.
