As he celebrated this milestone, Reddy paid a charming tribute to Telugu Cinema Superstar Allu Arjun, recreating the iconic "Pushpa" pose from the popular movie, showcasing his fun-loving and lighthearted personality.
Mitchell Starc, bowling from over the wicket, erred with a loose full-length delivery that strayed far outside the off stump. Nitish Kumar Reddy seized the opportunity, unleashing a majestic lofted drive off his front foot that soared over the off-side field. The ball sped to the boundary, marking a milestone moment for Reddy as he notched his maiden Test half-century.
Resuming their innings at 164 out of 5, India's batsmen Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja put up stubborn resistance against the might of the Australian team around such hopelessness.
But their resistance was short-lived, as they fell in successive bursts, leaving India precariously placed. It was at that moment when Nitish Kumar Reddy joined partner Washington Sundar, who staged an admirable recovery act and the visiting team importantly regained its footing.
