IND vs AUS ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Semifinal: The Men in Blue bounced back as star spinner Varun Chakravarthy performed well during his second over and gave away just three runs. Australia's run rate has now fallen to 6.00 and is trying to bounce back after Travis Head's dismissal.

Varun Chakravarthy, who registered figures of (1-0-5-1), took Travis Head's wicket, who had scored a gritty knock of 39 runs and thus ended the steady partnership. Head was looking at his absolute best and mistimed the shot as the ball went towards long-off, where Shubman Gill was standing, and took an easy catch.

The Steve Smith-led side scored five runs during the over and were reeling 58/2 at a run-rate of 6.44. Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne are trying to steady the ship for Australia.

It should be noted here that Australia won the toss and chose to bat first. Head, who was initially seen struggling, finally found his rhythm. He mistimed the flick shot and the ball went towards square leg and it did give chills to the Indian fans as they were reminded of the way he treated the bowlers during the 2023 ODI World Cup. Rohit Sharma made a brilliant decision of bringing in Varun Chakravarthy as at one point it looked like the match was slipping away from them.
