IND vs AUS 3rd ODI: India's star batter Virat Kohli has heaped praises on his fellow teammate Rohit Sharma post the pair took the team across the line in the third ODI against Australia as they had built a 168-run partnership in Sydney. Kohli has revealed that he has enjoyed batting with Rohit Sharma in all these years, from being the youngsters to veteran players of this team.
During the post-match presentation, Adam Gilchrist had enquired about Kohli's bond, and to this, the star Indian batter replied by saying that there's a common understanding of this sport. He revealed that this started in the 2013 series against Australia, and then, eventually, all the opponents realized the effect they could have on them together.
“I think from very early on, it was pretty clear that we both understood the game pretty well. That’s the only reason you can play for so long when you have an understanding of the situation, your own game, and how to apply it in different situations. That’s something that we’ve always taken a lot of pride in, and when we’re back together, of course, we understand we’re probably the most experienced players now," Kohli was heard as saying in the post-match presentation.

“But even back in the day, we used to think that if we had a big partnership, the kind of strokes we could play, we could really take the game away from the opposition, and it was just about communication, staying in the game. I think it all started from that to the 2013 series against Australia at home, when we really started getting those big partnerships together and really taking the game on. From then on, it was pretty clear the opposition also knew if these guys are in for 20 overs together, any total is chasable. And you know, the games are never done in the opposition’s favor. So I really enjoyed batting with Rohit," he said.
