IND vs AUS 4th Test: India's star batter Virat Kohli and controversies have now become synonymous, especially after he was involved in a physical altercation with debutant Sam Konstas on the first day of the fourth Test match and it was quite obvious that he would be at the receiving helm of Australian fans wrath at MCG. The incident occurred during the second day, when the Australian fans tried to provoke him as he was already under a lot of scrutiny.

He came into bat after KL Rahul's dismissal and thus received huge boos from the Australian fans. However, he always enjoys it when the fans of the opponent are provoking him as that helps him to become a better player.

Kohli was involved in a heated argument

He took advantage of the situation and was looking in good touch before he got out after scoring a gritty knock of 36 runs off 86 balls. Kohli's love-and-hate relationship with Australian fans continued after Scott Boland took his wicket.

Kohli was disappointed and was going towards the pavilion after he got out but the hostile Australian fans once again booed him and were seen taunting him. Initially, the star Indian batter ignored their comments but when they crossed their limits, he turned back and was seen giving them a mouthful and the security officials had to intervene.

Kohli played his best innings of this tour

Although India's star batter did score a match-winning hundred during the series opener, he scored those runs on a surface that became batter-friendly.

But in Melbourne, the Rohit Sharma-led side suffered a top-order batting collapse and struggled against a formidable Australian bowling line-up. Initially, Kohli batted patiently and did leave the outside-off deliveries.

He was able to bounce off the bad deliveries as well but he mistimed one shot in Scott Boland's over as Alex Carey took an easy catch and thus Kohli was dismissed after scoring 36 runs.
