India National Cricket Team vs Australian Men's Cricket Team Match Scorecard:

Travis Head's belligerent ton followed by Pat Cummins' five-wicket haul powered dominant Australia to a 10-wicket victory over India on Day 3 of the second Test at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on Sunday.

Chasing a mere target of 19 runs, Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney started the proceeding for the hosts.

McSweeney slammed two boundaries in Nitish Kumar Reddy's over. Khawaja slammed winning runs with a stylish four, taking his side to a 10-wicket win.

Starting the day at 128 for 5, Nitish Kumar Reddy's (42) cavalier approach prevented a second successive innings defeat under lights at Adelaide as India were bowled out for 175.

India's second innings lasted only 36.5 overs, with skipper Pat Cummins using the short ball effectively to claim 5 for 57. Scott Boland (3/51) inflicted early damage, while Mitchell Starc (2/60) chipped in with crucial wickets.

India resumed their innings on Day 3 with an overnight score of 128/5. Mitchell Starc on the third day struck really early, taking Rishabh Pant's crucial wicket at the last ball of the first over. Starc bowled him a full-length delivery swung from outside off stump and invited a tentative Anastasi Patush from Pant. The outside edge flew purposefully to the waiting Steve Smith in slip to see Pant sent back to the pavilion.

The Australian captain Pat Cummins snapped up his second wicket of the day, removing R Ashwin, who fell victim to a barrage of bouncers. Cummins' blistering array of short-pitched bangs proved too hot for Ashwin, who went for an inscrutable hook and ended up edging the ball sweetly to Alex Carey down the legside.

Nitish Reddy's courageous batting effort came to a close when Pat Cummins deployed a well-directed bouncer, which Reddy edged to Nathan McSweeney positioned in the third-man region. Unfortunately, Reddy fell agonizingly short of his maiden Test half-century.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj handled the charge for India for a brief period but Siraj fell prey to Scott Boland. With Siraj's wicket, Australia bundled out India for 175, setting an 19-run target for the win.
