India vs Australia, BGT 2024: India and Australia will face off in the second Test match in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Adelaide Oval. The match is scheduled to begin on December 6.

India are already 1-0 up in the five-match series, having won the first Test in Perth by 295 runs. They will be looking to extend their lead with another clinical performance in Adelaide.

The second match of the ongoing BGT series will also be a pink ball ball Test. This will be India's fifth day-night Test match.

The first match of the series saw several positives for the Indian cricket team including the opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul who came up with a match-winning contribution.

Despite a start to the series with the win, the visitors will likely have multiple changes in their side in the Adelaide Test.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, who missed the first Test due to personal reasons, will be back and leading the side in the Adelaide Test whereas Shubman Gill is also set to make his return.

Notably, Gill missed the Perth Test due to a thumb injury but will most probably replace Devdutt Padikkal in the second match.

While India will be heading into the second Test with massive confidence, the hosts Australia will also have a mental edge considering their previous monumental win over the Men in Blue in Adelaide.

The Rohit Sharma-led side will be looking to overcome the demons of the 2020 pink-ball Test at the venue, in which India was skittled out for just 36 runs, their lowest Test score.
