India vs Bangladesh Live: India will lock horns with Bangladesh in their tournament opener of Champions Trophy 2025 on Thursday. The highly-awaited match will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Men in Blue will try to start their campaign on a high by defeating their Asian neighbors.
Since the Rohit Sharma-led would be facing arch-rivals Pakistan in their next match, they will have to perform brilliantly against Bangladesh to keep their winning streak going. India would also be without the service of their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who was ruled out owing to a lower-back injury since he performed single-handedly during the five-match Test series against Australia. Youngster Harshit Rana will be replacing him in this mega-event. Varun Chakravarthy, who performed brilliantly against England during the recently concluded white-ball series, is also part of the 15-member team.
At the same time, Najmul Hossain Shanto would be leading Bangladesh from the front in this mega-event. Their team boasts of talented players like Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz. They do have a strong bowling lineup as well as they will have players like Nahid Rana, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Mustafizur Rahman. They will aim to create a huge upset and defeat India during their first match. Bangladesh is known for creating upsets in tournaments like this. If they win this match then they can change the nature of their 50-over format game.
