IND vs ENG 5th Test Day 5 Highlights: Mohammed Siraj Seals Thriller For India At Oval, Levels Series 2-2 Against England

'Miya magic' gripped The Oval as the 'warhorse' Mohammed Siraj sealed a thrilling 6-run win against England in London and helped India level the series by 2-2. 

Prasidh Krishna roars in celebration as India have almost pulled off a miracle, removing Josh Tounge. This brought injured Chris Woakes to the crease, who will bat left-handed. India need one wicket, England need 17 runs.

Mohammed Siraj does what he does best: gives India a big breakthrough, removing Jamie Smith. England is 7 down.

Jamie Overton resumed England's chase with double boundaries off Prasidh Krishna, taking the hosts close to winning. 

"Day 5 at The Oval and the conditions are cloudy. It is overcast and quite chilly today. The colour of the grass has changed an you can see more brown patches. England have the option of taking the heavy roller, while India can take the second new ball soon enough. Only 35 runs to get, but if India can take a couple of quick wickets, then the game can get very interesting. Whichever team handles the pressure moments better will end up winning," Cheteshwar Pujara said. 

The weather forecast for Monday in London indicated that it will mostly be overcast and windy with a couple of showers in the afternoon, predicted around 2pm local time (6.30pm IST). 

England's star batter Joe Root revealed that injured pacer Chris Woakes could play a defining role with the bat if needed, despite suffering a shoulder injury.

"He's all-in, like the rest of us. It's been that kind of series, where guys have had to put bodies on the line. Hopefully, it doesn't get to that. But he had some throwdowns in here [indoor nets] at one point, and he's ready if needed... He's desperate to do what it takes," Root said in a press conference.

The Oval Test is set for a blockbuster finale with the series decider swinging in both directions as England need 35 runs to win and India four wickets.

Its stumps on Day 4 at the  Oval. The  umpires went to the dressing room of both the  teams to convey it. The  match moves to Day 5 which many didn't think of but the  rain pushed it. It is anybody's game from here  with India needing four wickets and England 35 runs away.

Rain intensifies at the Oval and with bad light already halting play. There's a strong possibility that India and England might have to return tomorrow to conclude the Test. 

Every ball is an event now and Mohammed Siraj is in no mood to slow down. Test cricket is delivering once again. England still need 36 runs to win and the Indian pacer are doing everything here to make things difficult for them.

Joe Root smashed another century and he pays tribute to Graham Thorpe straightaway by wearing the headband. His 39th Test century and he is determined to take the host over the line.

England have reached 317/4 in this big run chase with Joe Root heading closer another Test century. They are just 57 runs away from the win whereas India still need 6 wickets. 153 runs came in the second session that completely belonged to England here at the Kennington Oval.

Wicket! The partnership has been broken, but has it come too late for India? Akash Deep has taken the big wicket of Harry Brook, who departs for 111. The score might have gone past the 300-run mark, but England are four down now.

Harry Brook has smashed his 10th Test century, and this has been a remarkable knock after getting an early lifeline. The target is below 100 for England, and they are 87 runs away from the win. 7 runs came off that over.

Another milestone for England as the scores go past the 250-run mark. This is getting an easy chase for the hosts with Root and Brook pretty solid in the middle. 5 runs came off that over.

Another fifty for Root, and this man just loves batting against India. This partnership has put the Indian team on the back foot. Nothing is going India's way at the moment. 7 runs came off that over.

Things seem to be getting out of hand for India at the moment as Root and Brook have cemented their eyes in the middle. They have already added 100-plus runs for the fourth wicket. Two runs came off it from Akash Deep.

Soon after the resumption of play, Brook has completed his fifty in this crucial moment. India need to get rid of both these batters in order to remain alive in the contest.

Joe Root and Harry Brook are two of the most distinguished batters in this line-up and they have looked solid so far. Haven't scored a lot of boundaries but gaining momentum by getting the scorecard ticking.

Siraj set the tone with a pinpoint delivery, and Akash Deep built on the momentum with a critical over, fishing the stumps and inducing valuable inside edges.

Day 4 play of the fifth Test between India and England now begins. Ben Duckett has resumed the proceedings from 50/1 for England. He has now been joined by skipper Ollie Pope. For India, Mohammed Siraj takes the first ball of the day.

Talking about the pitch, former England captain Nasser Hussain said, "Surrey have won by playing on pitches like this, it's got the same amount of grass as the County games. If it goes late into Day 4, it might spin as it's a bit dry at the ends. The main threat is going to be seam. I'd say 324 more required is a lot of runs. Because you have grass, the hard Duke's ball will go into it and create indentations, which'll cause a slight uneven bounce. That wicket will lift the Indian dressing room, they had great plans to both openers. It's still a pretty good pitch to bowl seam on, England are going to have to play seriously well."
