IND vs ENG 1st Test: India's star wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant was seen getting involved in a hilarious stump-mic banter with England's Jamie Smith, where he was trying to inform the fielders that how they can stop India's run flow. Pant starred with the bat during the morning session of the second day of the series opener.

The Shubman Gill-led side suffered a batting collapse on Day 2 as they had lost seven wickets and could score just 41 runs in 12 overs even though Pant scored a brilliant knock of 134 runs.

The visitors kept their scoreboard ticking as Pant, who had scored 65 runs on the first day, smashed a brilliant hundred on Saturday.

It should be noted here that Pant made the comment of 'bowling well' right after he had hit consecutive sides during an over, which emphasized that he was more sarcastic than funny.

Pant went down the ground and then smashed Bashir for a six as the ball went toward deep midwicket even though he had smashed that six with the help of one hand.

Pant brought his seventh hundred in the longest format after playing in 44 Test matches, against the Ben Stokes-led side off just 146 balls, where he had smashed 10 fours and four sixes.

Pant was seen celebrating his century by performing an acrobatic somersault. He had hit another six in Bashir's over as captain Shubman Gil;l batted from the other end.

And just when the English bowlers were scratching their heads as top wondering how they would get their next wicket, Gill mistimed a shot in Bashir's over and the ball went towards Brydon Cars, who was standing at the deep square leg and got out after scoring 147 runs.

Gill's dismissal broke the partnership of 209 runs with Pant, which had helped the visitors score 430/4 and that's when they suffered a batting collapse.

Pant, who had played some brilliant knocks in his scintillating knock was dismissed by LBW in Josh Tongue's over and that ended his innings, where he had scored 84 runs just by smashing fours.

England captain Ben Stokes caught Shardul Thakur behind and thus an early lunch was taken as Tongue dismissed all Indian tailenders by taking three wickets.
