IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Ex-India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar heaped praises on the combined efforts made by KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant as they had stitched a brilliant partnership of 141 runs for the fourth wicket after the team suffered a top-order batting collapse on the third day at Lord's. Apart from Rahul's brilliant knock of 100 runs, Ravindra Jadeja (72 off 131) and Pant (74 off 112) also made significant contributions and helped the team chase the first-innings total.
Rahul smashed a loose drive and brought up his 10th Test hundred. He achieved this milestone post-lunch by taking a single in Archer's over. He had become the second Indian batter besides Dilip Vengsarkar to have smashed multiple centuries at this iconic venue.
“One kept it ticking, the other kept it moving. @klrahul and @RishabhPant17 stitched together a partnership built on patience and intent. @imjadeja followed it up with a composed fifty, keeping the innings on track. It was a well-fought day of Test cricket with some missed opportunities as well. Plenty to look forward to as the match progresses," Tendulkar had written on his official X account.

Rahul got distracted during the very next over as he smashed a drive and the ball went up in the air and Harry Brook, who was standing at first slip took the catch.
The hosts took the second new ball but couldn't do much. Rahul's wicket was the only wicket they could take during that session.
Rishabh Pant batted with an injured left finger and brought up a brilliant half-century and just before lunch he was dismissed and left the visitors reeling at 248/4.
