Sakshi, believing Bumrah had caught Sam Curran off his own bowling, began jumping and celebrating. However, the ball had touched the ground before Bumrah grabbed it. While others at the stadium realized what had happened, Sakshi misunderstood the situation, prompting Dhoni to gesture calmly to calm her excitement.

India defeated England by seven runs, posting 253 after being put in to bat, and secured a spot in the final.
Sanju Samson top-scored with 89 off 42, while Shivam Dube added 43 off 25 balls.
England, led by Harry Brook, made 246 in reply. Jacob Bethell hit 105 off 48 but ran out of support.
