IND vs ENG 3rd Test: The fans of the Indian cricket team were in awe of skipper Shubman Gill for getting involved in a heated exchange with Zak Crawley during the last over of the third day at Lord's. Gill chose to use some choice words for the English openers, especially Crawley as they were trying to waste some time to avoid playing against the Indian fast bowlers towards the fag end of the day.
It was Crawley, who was batting during the last over and was seen moving away from the crease to waste some time at the crease. This didn't go down well with Gill, who was then seen getting involved in a heated exchange with Crawley and then the other Indian players also joined in. Then the fifth ball was bowled and Crawley was hit on the gloves and he was then seen getting treatment done from the physios. Gill then brought out his funny side as he was seen showing the X sign and trying to make fun of Crawley.

And then after that the Men in Blue were seen clapping for Crawley and he too got involved in a heated exchange with Indian skipper Gill. The Ben Stoes-led side took a lead of two runs at stumps as both the teams had leveled scores of 387 runs.
The match has become quite intense ahead of the fourth day and that has made Michael Atherton a fan of the drama. The ex-England skipper reckoned that the day ended perfectly.
"It felt like five minutes where I wouldn't mind being out there! It was brilliant drama, great theatre. Harry Brook was laughing his head off on the England balcony when we looked up. There was a bit of chit-chat but I didn't mind that. It was a red-blooded contest and you have to give players a bit of leeway. I loved watching it. I thought it was a fantastic end to a nip-and-tuck day" Michael Atherton was heard as saying on air.
How did the fans react to the Gill-Crawley spat?
Many fans were entertained when Gill became aggressive, much like Virat Kohli did when he was India's skipper. They described Gill as Kohli's student and the others came out in support of the Indian skipper.
Here's how the fans acted on social media:
The drama will only unfold further on the fourth day since the ongoing Test match is inching toward a thrilling end.
