IND vs NZ T20 World Cup 2026 Final: After India's remarkable victory in the T20 World Cup 2026 Final against New Zealand, India's star all-rounder Shivam Dube made a heartfelt gesture on his social media account, choosing to give his T20 World Cup-winning medal to his father. Dube featured in all the matches, playing a huge role as both a batter and a bowler, helping his team secure their third T20 World Cup title.

In the video that followed, Shivam was seen putting the medal around his father's neck. His father, donning the Indian jersey, excitedly posed with the medal. To add a personal touch, Shivam wrote a special caption for the post, describing his dad as his real hero.

DUBE'S PERFORMANCE IN T20 WORLD CUP 2026

Dube played a significant dual role as batter and bowler during the recently concluded mega event. He made match-winning contributions against Pakistan, Netherlands, England, and New Zealand, finishing as India's fourth-highest run-scorer with 235 runs in nine matches at an average of 39.16 and an impressive strike rate of 169.06.

As well as with the bat, Dube was also expected to deliver as a bowler in high-pressure situations. Although he conceded runs, he took five wickets and bowled the final over brilliantly in the semifinal against the Harry Brook-led side.

Reflecting on that crucial semifinal over, Dube said in a video shared by BCCI, “I just wanted to back myself. I knew the first two balls of the over would be crucial, so my focus was on getting them right because that could decide the game. It had already been decided that I would bowl the last over. I was definitely nervous - bowling the final over of a World Cup semi-final is always challenging.”
