India vs Oman, Asia Cup 2025: India won the toss and opted to bat first against Oman in match 12 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Friday, September 19. This is India's last group A match in the tournament.
This is the first time India will bat first in the tournament, having already made it to the super fours on the back of wins in their first two matches. India will be heading into the match on the back of a dominating 7-wicket win against arch-rivals Pakistan in their previous fixture.

With an aim to provide some game time for the rest of the players in the squad, India came up with a couple of changes in their lineup as Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh replaced Varun Chakravarthy and Jasprit Bumrah.
"We are looking to bat first. We have not batted first in this competition, and we want to know our depth. Having game time is important going into the Super 4s. We want to continue the good habits we are doing in the first two games, and want to continue to do that. It is looking nice and our openers will assess it further," Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav said at the toss.

Oman, on the other hand, have already been eliminated but will be looking for an improved performance to end the tournament on a high. They also made a couple of changes in their lineup.
"I would have batted first. It is a great experience to take from here. Our team is young, lacks exposure, but this gives them a good chance to come here and test themselves. It is a great opportunity to share the field with India and get a look at their mindset. We have two changes," Oman captain Jatinder Singh said.
