IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025: The India vs Pakistan match held last week might be over on paper, but the controversies are still going on off the field. According to the latest development of the handshake-gate incident, the Pakistan Cricket Board [PCB] will be filing a formal complaint against Suryakumar Yadav. The PCB got upset with statements made by the India T20I skipper during the post-match presentation as he dedicated their win to the India Army, who launched Operation Sindoor and tried to stand with the families of the Pahalgam terror attack. As per NDTV, the PCB considers this a political statement in a sports match, which they opined violates the spirit of the game.

The Pakistan players were quite disturbed when the Suryakumar Yadav-led side didn't shake hands before and after the match, and this gesture is usually seen as an act of sportsmanship.

Former Pakistan skipper Rameez Raja raised this issue and said, "My biggest objection was what was said in the post-match presentation by Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav. That editorial was the critical point."

Since the next match between these two teams will be held later this week, the rivalry has now intensified off the field as well. What was supposed to be an entertaining match has become diplomatic. It will now depend on how the ICC will respond to this and how the teams will carry themselves during the next match.
