India National Cricket team vs South Africa National Cricket Team 2nd T20: The host will be entering the second T20I riding high on confidence as they had thrashed South Africa by a huge margin of 101 runs in the series opener in Cuttack. The host had dominated completely in that match. Hardik Pandya scored a match-winning knock of 59 runs off 28 balls and helped the team post a target of 175/6 on a surface that had uneven bounce. And when the bowlers took charge, the Protea batters succumbed under pressure. Arshdeep Singh gave the team the much-needed breakthrough, and the other bowlers also piled pressure in the middle overs. Jasprit Bumrah took the last two wickets and achieved the milestone of taking 100 wickets in this format.

The Proteas never really got going while chasing and were skittled out for just 79 runs. Their batters were seen struggling against swing and failed to bounce back after suffering a batting collapse. They will lock horns with India at a pitch where no international match has been held at all, and that will make it more challenging. Since the hosts are currently leading the series by 1-0 and are brilliant in all departments, the visitors are under immense pressure to bounce back in New Chandigarh.
