IND vs SA T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8s: After India's humiliating 76-run loss to South Africa in the ongoing Super 8s clash, social media influencer RJ Princy Parikh shot a reel with David Miller, which went viral. Miller, who was South Africa's highest run-scorer, scored a match-winning knock of 63 runs off 35 balls and helped the team post a mammoth target of 187 runs. The Men in Blue failed to chase the target and lost by 76 runs. After that match, Parikh shared a video on her official social media account and wrote the caption, "David Miller, what a player." In that video, Parikh is seen walking around Miller, and another caption reads, "I thought we were friends, David."

But now Parikh has revealed that she had received "rape threats" and also had to face body shaming once that reel had gone viral. Due to this, she deleted that reel from her social media account, but the video is still there on her Instagram account. She also said she will file a police complaint for all the threats she has received.

At the same time, ex-India cricketer Irfan Pathan had also heaped praises on South Africa's ability to perform well in pressure situations and also lauded David Miller and Dewald Brevis for their significant contribution. During an interaction on his YouTube channel, Pathan emphasised that South Africa bounced back after losing three quick wickets and also praised Jasprit Bumrah for his brilliant performance, before Miller turned the tide of the match in South Africa's favour.

"The way South Africa lost three wickets, Bumrah was bowling brilliantly. But then Miller showed his experience. Having played six World Cups, it seemed he wanted to make his comeback in Ahmedabad in this big stadium after missing out in the World Cup final. And he did, with a half-century innings at exactly the moment the team needed him the most," Pathan was quoted as saying on his YouTube channel.

Miller's brilliant half-century helped the team reach an important juncture.

Pathan also praised Brevis for the way he batted, especially when they had lost three quick wickets. He highlighted that Brevis' gritty knock of 45 runs and his match-winning partnership with Miller were decisive in this match's result.

"That 45-run innings from Brevis was crucial. Without that partnership, South Africa would not have won the match. It was such a mature innings. At first, when three wickets had fallen, he played cautiously. Usually, Brevis would come and play big shots immediately. But as a batsman who plays at a strike rate of 180, he took a little time initially, built the partnership, and that partnership gave South Africa much-needed stability," he concluded.
