U-19 World Cup 2026: The Men in Blue began their campaign of ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 on a high as they defeated the USA by six wickets via the DLS Method on Thursday. India won the toss and chose to bowl first, where fast bowler Henil Patel took advantage of the bounce and took a five-fer.

USA's Nitish Sudini was their highest run-scorer as he had scored 52 runs off 36 balls and helped the team post a target of more than 100 runs. He also didn't get much support from the other batters, and they were skittled out for just 107 runs.

The second innings was delayed owing to rain. They suffered a huge blow as Vaibhav Suryavanshi fell early, and Ritvik Appidi took his wicket.

Mhatre smashed a few fours and helped the team score 21 runs, but rain played a spoilsport yet again. And then the target was reduced to 96 runs. They hardly got going while chasing as they lost two wickets.

Abhigyan Kundu then helped the team bounce back by scoring a match-winning knock of 42 runs off 41 balls and took the team across the line.
