IND vs WI 2nd Test: Legendary West Indies batter Brian Lara added a bit of humor to an intense Test match, where Yashasvi Jaiswal yet again showed why he is seen as the next superstar. The youngster shone brightly in Delhi as he smashed a brilliant knock of 175 runs on the first day of the ongoing Test match. His knock included elegance and aggression, and the hat had set the tone for the innings and had put them in the driver's seat.

Post the day game, Lara, who also watched the match on Day 2, visited the Indian dressing room and was seen having light-hearted banter with Jaiswal. The BCCI took to their official social media account, where Lara praised Jaiswal and said, “Don’t beat our bowlers that bad.” This hilarious remark showed the respect both players have for each other.

“I always put the team first, how I can play for my team, and what is important for my team at that moment in time," Jaiswal was heard as saying in the video.

“So, I always think that, and that gives me the answer to how I can play, what shots I can play, how the wicket is, and if I’m there, I make sure that I take it as long as I can. So that is all my mindset: that if I have a start, I make sure that I make it big, just like that,” he said.

Jaiswal, who was at his absolute best in his innings, took the West Indies bowlers to all corners of the park as he hit 22 fours. He did fall short of a well-deserved double ton as he was involved in a run-out with Gill on Day 2, but the damage was already done. Gill, too smashed, helped the post a mammoth target of 518/5.

As far as the bowlers are concerned, Kuldeep Yadav's five-for and Ravindra Jadeja's bowling prowess helped the host dominate and skittled the visitors out for 248, and a follow-on was also enforced.

Jaiswal has been praised both by the fans and experts for his brilliant performance, and the light-hearted banter with Lara can't stop the respect he has earned.
