IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025: The Indian cricketers recently participated in a different fielding practice session before the high-octane clash against arch-rivals Pakistan of the ongoing continental tournament, where they were seen standing in front of a goal and were protecting the balls from going towards the nets, as per a Times of India report. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya was seen interacting with their fielding coach T Dilip, as he was the one who began this new drill for this tournament, as they tried to improve their fielding skills.
According to the report, T Dilip introduced this drill so that the Indian cricketers can improve their fielding skills on the field.
Dilip had put a goalpost-sized safety net far off from the batting nets and told each fielder that he should aim for their goal. They did the catching drills with the help of new balls, which were picked for their fast speed in the air.
All the players took two sets of five catches and also rotated positions just like they used to do while attending batting sessions.
Pandya, who had earlier dropped the catch, later took a stunning catch and was then seen hugging Dilip. He then took another catch as Shivam Dube was left in awe while watching from the sidelines.
It was Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh's turn next, who were coming from their batting practice session and had joined the others for this drill.

Gill was brilliant as he took four stretch catches, taking two catches with his left hand and two with his right, and left both Rinku and Dilip stunned.
“You are making it a habit," Dilip was heard as saying to Gill.
Initially, Rinku was seen having a hard time, but then he made a brilliant comeback by taking his second catch with Gill's help, and then he ran away, as per the report.
After Gill, Rinku, Abhishek Sharma, and Tilak Varma completed their drills, Abhishek then said, “Isn’t it too big?" and to this Dilip replied, “You can pull it off easily,".
