India vs Australia, 2nd ODI Highlights: India Beat Australia By 99 Runs (DLS Method)

Even though the match will be a dead rubber in the context of the series, but both teams will be hoping to finish strong ahead of the World Cup. And fans will be hoping for a full match, without any weather interruption. 

Jadeja applies the finishing touches as he ends Abbott's entertaining innings. India have taken a 2-0 lead as they take the series and will head to the ODI World Cup as the no.1 ranked side. Australia, on the other hand, have lost last five ODI matches ahead of the marquee tournament.

Wicket! So the frustration ends for the Indian bowlers as Shami breaks the partnership. Hazlewood departs. Australia go nine down.

Wicket! Wickets are tumbling here as India gets closer to the victory. Zampa is the latest casualty as Jadeja removes him for 5 to give India eighth wicket.

Wicket! Kishan with the direct hit. That was a horrible display of running from Green as there was never a run there. He departs for 19 as Australia lose seventh wicket.

We had a rain interruption in the first innings and we have it in the second as well. It has picked up a bit as the groundstaff was quick to respond and cover the whole ground.

"My focus was on cramps, wasn't allowing me to hold firm. I was almost out caught and bowled, I realised my top hand wasn't working. After that, I was tying to smash every ball, I felt that I got the team in the right place. I was happy throughout the innings. My mindset was to play the ball in the V. I wanted to time it. I was experiencing variable bounce., Thankfully we were able to take that momentum towards our side. Shubman and I, we played a pretty decent knock and laid a strong platform. The other batsmen came in and expressed themselves. I got a great start, I was trying to play the ball on its merit and Shubman took the charge. It worked out for the team. Wicket! Gill would be so disappointed with the dismissal. He was well set for a massive one. Carey makes no mistake as Gill departs for 104.

Hundred! There's another century for Gill, his 5th ODI hundred with all coming in this year. How do you stop this guy from scoring runs? this remains the tough question for bowlers all around the world. India are in a dominating position at the moment. Five runs came off that over.

Wicket! More drama here. Shreyas will have to head back to the pavilion in the same over after getting a life. A stunning innings comes to an end as this time fielder makes no mistake. India lose second wicket.

Hundred! That's a big one for Shreyas. This hundred is huge, amid all the criticism and all the fitness issues. His 3rd one in the ODI format. What an innings this has been so far. India are in a dominating position with these two batters more than comfortable at the crease.

It's so frustrating for the Aussies at the moment with no signs of wicket. Gill and Shreyas are going strong at the moment as they are racing towards their respective hundreds. Six runs came off that over.

Fifty! Shubman Gill continues his sublime form as he reaches yet another half-century. India have crossed the 100-run mark in no time. This also brings the 100-run stand for the 2nd wicket between Gill and Shreyas.

It looks like rain hasn't done any damage to the concentration of these two batters as they continue to attack. Another good one. 11 runs came of it.

Smith said he made the decision to bowl due to the warm conditions. The wicket appears to be in good condition, and if dew becomes a factor, it will be advantageous during the chase. The aim is to secure a victory while also experimenting with a different combination.
