Nagpur | Jagran Sports Desk: The Indian cricket team is eyeing their first T20 International series win at home this season when they take on Bangladesh in the decisive third game Nagpur on Sunday, with the hope that their fringe players contribute significantly to a victory.

In the absence of some senior players, including skipper Virat Kohli, India's primary objective of the T20 series was to identify the core of players for the T20 World Cup next year.

Here are the latest updates from Nagpur:

Bangladesh innings (144/10 | Naim: 81, Mithun: 27) :

Deepak Chahar got hat-trick to help India win series against Bangladesh. Chahar got six wickets in the match. Shivam Dube also got three wickets. For Bangladesh, the star with the bat was Mohammad Naim who scored a brilliant 81.

India innings (174/5 | Iyer 62, Rahul 52):

Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul on Sunday helped India post 174 in their 20 overs against Bangladesh in Nagpur. The duo steadied the innings for India after Bangladesh removed Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan early. The duo looked very comfortable and smashed the Bangladeshi bowlers to all the corners of the park.

Earlier, Bangladesh after winning the toss were off to a great start after Shafiul Islam removed Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and his opening partner Shikhar Dhawan. They were also able to contain the flow of runs and didn't allow the Indian batsmen score freely.

Toss:

Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah has won the toss and elected to field first. "We'll bowl first. The wicket looks good. India is a good chasing team, we'll try to restrict them to a low score. We have considered dew factor as well. Int he middle-overs, the run-rate has to be there and we have keep wickets," he said.

Rohit Sharma: "We would have bowled first as well. It's a great challenge for us to bat first and post a good total. Teams batting first have managed to defend scores because of the slowness. The records are not for taking. It's another day in the office, loving to play for my country. I have cherished it. We have got one change. Manish Pandey comes in for Krunal."

Weather Report:

As per the Accuweather, there is only one per cent chance ofrain butthe sky is expected to be clear throughout the day with patchy clouds. Meanwhile, the night is expected to get a bit hazy due to hazardous air quality in the city, but it poses little threat of any disruption to the deciding game.

Pitch Report:

Nagpur has always been known for producing a pitch that would assist the spinners but in T20 game, it might still assist the batsmen and will remain the same throughout. Though chasing hasn’t been an easy task at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur, expect the batsmen to come good.
