New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: India is all set to face Bangladesh in the third T20I of the three-match series scheduled to be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Stadium, Nagpur on Sunday. After registering an emphatic win in Rajkot to level the series 1-1, team India will aim for another commanding performance to win the series decider.
The visitors, on the other hand, started their campaign with a seven-wicket win over young Indian brigade in Delhi and will look forward to a historic series win. Bangladesh also began well at the beginning of the second T20I in Rajkot as they scored 59/0 in the first seven overs after being asked to bat first.
However, they lost their momentum after Indian spinners came into bowl and ended up posting a below-par total. The hosts chased down the total with ease as skipper Rohit Sharma changed the course of the game on his own to help India win by eight wickets in hand.
In Nagpur, Mahmadullah will hope for a better performance from his batsmen and spinners who can take advantage which would be on offer at the VCA Stadium. Meanwhile, Rohit will hope for a repeat of the last T20I success with players like Krunal Pandya and Deepak Chahar also contributing to the result.
Shardul Thakur might be given a chance owing to Khaleel Ahmed's poor performance in the first two matches. The hosts would also like to improve their fielding in the decider as they were sloppy in the field in Rajkot. It has become an area of concern that team management would like to make amends.
A total of 10 T20Is have been played at VCA Stadium since 2016. Teams batting first have won 7 matches and thus it would be interesting to see what India would do in case if they win the toss.
