India vs England 5th Test Highlights, Day 2: India Reach 473/8 At Stumps, Lead By 255 Runs

"It was my first time that he's (talking about his dad) watching me play (in an international game). It was his vision (to play Test cricket) and I'm hoping that he is proud of my effort today. I thought the ball wasn't doing much at that time and instinctively I wanted to go over the top (talking about the six he hit against Anderson) and put some pressure on him. I feel good every time I go out to bat and today I missed out on that ball (the one he got dismissed). I didn't sight that ball properly, but I do feel good every time I go out to bat and hopefully I convert these starts into a big one. I think it would be better for both of us to keep that chat between us (when asked about the conversation between him and Anderson after the latter was taken for a six)."

That'll be the end of the second day as India stand at a strong position with 473/8 in 120 overs with Kuldeep Yadav (27) and Jasprit Bumrah (19) looking promising at the crease. The duo has added 45 runs for the ninth wicket as India's lead go past 250 runs.

Wicket! There's a breakthrough for England straight after the break as Bashir gets his second of the match. Sarfaraz looked to cut that away a bit late but edged it straight to Root at first slip. India are four down now.

An excellent 96 run partnership between Sarfaraz and Padikkal powered India to 376/3 at the end of 84 overs.

Mark Wood has resorted to short and and bodyline length as India bring up 200. They trail by 17 runs now.

Don't go anywhere as Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will resume batting from where they left off in Day 1. 

Chances In Tests were sporadic in past few years, then there was dip in form and also a knee surgery for the talented spinner, who made technical adjustments to get his mojo back.

"If you play regularly, you get more confident about your bowling. Game awareness also comes with it. It is very important to keep playing regularly as it makes your bowling sharp," said the 29-year-old, who now has 17 wickets in the series with hopefully one more innings to increase his tally.

Having made his debut at this very venue in 2017, Kuldeep in past seven years have only made 12 Test appearances, with four of them on trot in the current series against England. On the opening day of the fifth Test against England, Kuldeep set the ball rolling with five top-order wickets.

A regular place in the playing eleven during the ongoing series has done wonders to Kuldeep Yadav's confidence and the left-arm wrist spinner believes that he has got more sharper with better game awareness due to consistent opportunities.
