Anushka Sharma, the renowned actor-producer, and wife of Kohli expressed her heartfelt gratitude for witnessing Kohli achieve a historic feat. Anushka referred to Kohli as "God's child," on her Instagram status. Anushka took to Instagram to share her joy, stating that watching Kohli grow from strength to strength and achieving such milestones while remaining honest to himself and the sport has been a blessing.
In a heartfelt Instagram Stories post, Anushka wrote, "God is the best scriptwriter! Utterly grateful to him for blessing me with your love, and to watch you grow from strength to strength and achieve all that you have and will, being honest to yourself and to the sport always. You are truly God's child."

The post-match celebration by Anushka did not overlook the outstanding performance of pacer Mohammed Shami, who was named Player of the Match. Shami's exceptional figures of 7 wickets for 57 runs were instrumental in India's victory, marking the best performance by an Indian bowler in the marquee event. Anushka acknowledged Shami's contribution by sharing clap emojis.
Anushka's presence on the field sent social media into a frenzy as fans shared pictures of the couple sharing a heart-warming moment during the match. The bond between Anushka and Kohli, both 35 years old, extends beyond the cricket field. Married since 2017, the couple shares a daughter, Vamika, who is set to turn three in January.
