Several Pakistani cricketers hailed King Kohli.

"He has that hunger to score and improve himself all the time. He is a world-class player, a legend already, but still, he wants to do well for India. I like this commitment," said all-rounder Shadab Khan in a Star Sports video.

"When he is well set and has few runs under his belt, his finishing touches and shots are unlike every other player in the world. Nobody comes close to him," wicketkeeper-batter Mohammed Rizwan said.

India will eye their third consecutive win of the tournament when they take on Pakistan in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Both neighbouring teams have a historic rivalry in the field of cricket with India having a 7-0 clean sheet in the ODI World Cup encounters. Pakistan will have the gargantuan challenge to beat India in front of their home crowd of more than one lakh people.

"All the guys are quite used to playing in front of big crowds. It can only work in your favour. It cannot work against you. A lot of the guys in the team love a big crowd, the cheers, the noise in the ground. So yeah, the boys really enjoy it. Anywhere we go, people turn out in huge numbers. And that is good for the team and also good for the sport in general as well," he said in the pre-match press conference.
